17. Fifty Shades Darker

RottenTomatoes Score: 8% (3.4/10)

Box Office: Made for an inexplicable $55 million, the erotic thriller sequel is due to pass $300 million worldwide at the time of press. It'll end up a little down on the first film's $571 million final total, but it's still an astronomical success all the same.

Verdict: Perhaps even tamer than the original film, Fifty Shades Darker aims squarely for the timid, giggly middle-aged female demographic with not a glimpse of graphic nudity to be seen, so one has to ask, what the Hell is the point?

Creepier and more self-serious than the first film, the thriller cliches and avalanche of peculiar subplots certainly make Darker a singular experience, but one that refuses to deliver on the little promise it has.

Whatever you thought of the first one, basically amplify that several-fold for this sequel.
