Ranking Jackie Chan’s Boss Fights

10. City Hunter - Richard Norton Fight

Jackie's Role: Ryo Saeba, a lecherous and womanising private detective who is sent to locate a millionaire's daughter, only to find himself in the middle of a large robbery. The Bad Guy: Richard Norton, a martial artist who made his name acting as muscle for the Rolling Stones and ABBA before realising that beating up people on-screen was a better job than protecting Mick Jagger from groupies every night. The Fight: The final fight with the big bad is a long and elaborate display of comedy with a dash of martial arts. The initial flurry of rapid punching and blocking soon evolves to an improvised tussle with sticks and some improvised gymnastics before ending with a massive bang, literally. There's fisticuffs and some decent acrobatic work in there but the whole fight definitely features more slapstick shenanigans than the usual Jackie Chan fare. https://youtu.be/2gSE46AYYEg Overall, it isn't the most creative or spectacular fight ever seen. In fact, it may actually be the most unintentionally disturbing Jackie Chan fight since it takes place in a great big hall with numerous dead bodies lying around, before the big bad gets blown to bits at the end. However, it is probably the funniest and you'll be too distracted to notice that the fight is taking place in a makeshift graveyard.

My life story is nothing special. I haven't cured ebola, I'm nowhere near stopping terrorism, and I'm still working on that climate change problem. Instead, all I've done so far is put a few hundred words together in an attempt to make people laugh. You can follow me at @Fry_ying_pan but don't be offended if I don't tweet back. It's usually because I've spent too long trying to think up a witty response that the reply window has closed.
