RottenTomatoes Score: 41% (5.3/10) Box Office: Even with an evident shoestring budget, a cume of just $3,955 after two weeks in five cinemas won't be making anyone rich... Verdict: The Signal director Jacob Gentry serves up another attention-grabbing sci-fi, though results are likely to vary as the film's glut of Blade Runner references can only take it so far, and a premium is clearly placed on style over substance. Forget the bad acting and often outrageously clunky dialogue and there's an intriguing movie here, but more than anything the film is a calling card for cinematographer Eric Maddison and Gentry's solid style.
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
