RottenTomatoes Score: 80% (6.6/10) Box Office: After just one weekend on release, the $145 million animation has already recouped $116.7 million (making it 2016's highest-grossing film to date), and considering that it's yet to open in large parts of the world, this one's set to be a huge success over the coming weeks and months (even if it opened lower than the previous two movies). Verdict: In short, if you liked the others, you'll no doubt leave this one satisfied. Ratcheting up the familial arc introduced in the previous film, Panda 3 also retains the gorgeous animation, vibrant action and outrageous humour that made this franchise a possibility. And in case that wasn't enough, Bryan Cranston and J.K. Simmons are fantastic casting additions as Po's father and the villainous Kai respectively. Hopefully DreamWorks will have the good sense to close things off here rather than run these delightful characters into the ground, but we all know what they did to Shrek...
