Ranking January 2018's Movies From Worst To Best
2. Coco
RottenTomatoes Score: 97% (8.2/10)
Box Office: With a hefty price tag of $200 million, Pixar's latest animated yarn has grossed close to $700 million worldwide. For an original tale without any rooting in a existing franchise, it's quite the achievement.
Verdict: Coco is another easy winner for Pixar, blending themes of family with a compelling meditation on mortality and the nature of existence.
It's also visually stunning, full of catchy, poignant music and loaded with charming characters. As a cultural celebration and as a broader, vibrant adventure, Coco may not quite reach the classic status of the studio's very best movies, but it's not far off.
