Verdict: Netflix's other not-so-great release in January was this Pitch Perfect-esque dance movie that occasionally benefits from some cutting social commentary, but for the most part obnoxiously panders to its core teen demographic, is far longer than it really needs to be, and doesn't even feature much dancing.

The cast is trying and it means well enough, but you'll need some low standards to make it all the way to the end without groaning or rolling your eyes a whole lot.

You know what you're getting with something like this, so brace yourself accordingly.
