Ranking January 2018's Movies From Worst To Best

13. 12 Strong

12 Strong Chris Hemsworth Michael Pena
Warner Bros.

RottenTomatoes Score: 55% (5.6/10)

Box Office: Undeniably dented by poor marketing, the Chris Hemsworth-led war drama nevertheless clawed its $35 million budget back after 10 days in cinemas, and while not a hit, when home video sales are factored in, it'll probably be just fine.

Verdict: Though definitely guilty of the usual jingoistic American war movie cliches, 12 Strong's cracking ensemble cast and entertaining action sequences help it mostly succeed even if you probably won't remember it in a month.

Considering that the lack of hype or early reviews left most assuming this would be another January dud, it's really not bad at all.
