Ranking January 2019's Movies From Worst To Best

Close Noomi Rapace

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 39% (5.3/10)

Box Office: Direct-to-Netflix.

Verdict: Noomi Rapace gives it her all in this utterly generic thriller based on the experiences of real-life female bodyguard Jacquie Davis.

Sadly between Vicky Jewson's flat direction and a laughably formulaic script, this never rises above easy mediocrity, even with Rapace gamely trying to elevate things at every moment.

The twists and turns are howlingly predictable, the action sequences lack pep and the character drama is completely hackneyed at almost all times.

Acceptable viewing while you're scrolling through your phone or doing your laundry, perhaps, but as a January Netflix Original, it duly lives down to expectations.

Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes). General video game, TV and film nut. Occasional sports fan. Full time loon.
