Rotten Tomatoes Score: 85% (7.3/10) Box Office: Made for a modest $35 million, Trainwreck overshot expectations on its opening weekend, pulling in over $30 million and becoming director Judd Apatow's second-highest opening to date. Whether it'll have the legs to become a Knocked Up-level hit ($219.1 million) remains to be seen, but things are looking good so far. The Verdict: Essentially a rom-com for people who are fed up with the genre's cliches, Trainwreck examines contemporary relationships with emotional honesty and, of course, plenty of hilarity, boosted by a star-making performance from lead actress and writer Amy Schumer. Again reaffirming Apatow's skill at blending the serious and the hilarious, while bringing on a cavalcade of A-list stars and celebrities for outrageous cameos (Tilda Swinton is practically unrecognisable here), this is one of the year's funniest films and a rare movie about being a woman in 2015 that feels totally authentic (largely because it's actually written by a woman).
