Ranking July 2015's Movies From Worst To Best

12. Vacation

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 26% (4/10) Box Office: Budgeted at $31 million, Vacation is expected to pull in a solid $30 million over its first five days on release, ensuring it'll be a solidly successful minor comedy hit in the long run, especially once it's had an international roll-out. The Verdict: A quasi-reboot-sequel of the beloved National Lampoon's Vacation franchise (a rebootquel?) that heavily mines viewer nostalgia for the 1983 original, the new Vacation's tone has struck some critics as overly harsh compared to the original (which was R-rated but not particularly mean). Despite an appropriately hilarious set of trailers, a strong cast and a litany of cameos from beloved actors, including the original film's stars Chevy Chase and Beverly D€™Angelo, this is one trip that's only worth taking for the series' most devout fans, and isn't likely to be remembered a few months from now. That said, like many critically-slated comedies, it could always find cult success on home video and VOD.
