Ranking July 2016's Movies - From Worst To Best

19. Ice Age: Collision Course

Ghostbusters Jason Bourne Ice Age
20th Century Fox

RottenTomatoes Score: 12% (3.9/10)

Box Office: Proving the dangers of studio complacency and franchise fatigue, the fifth Ice Age movie opened well below expectations and is likely to end up as one of the lowest-grossing films in the series, if not the lowest.

In short, it might've finally killed the franchise, or considering that it's still already doubled its $105 million budget, at least condemned it to a continued existence on home video.

Verdict: As depressingly by-the-numbers as animated fare gets, Ice Age 5 is at least two Ice Age films too many, and sees the franchise spinning its wheels for an easy buck. You know what you're getting and there are no surprises nor is there any subversion of the established formula.

With lazy writing, phoned-in performances and fairly mediocre animation, this exists solely as a babysitting tool.
