4. Incredibles 2

RottenTomatoes Score: 93% (7.9/10)

Box Office: At the time of press, Pixar's long-awaited superhero sequel is sitting just a few million shy of the $1 billion mark, which it should cross in the first few days of August.

It's a stonking if totally predictable success for the $200 million follow-up, firmly obliterating the original film's already impressive $633 million total.

Verdict: While arguably lacking the freshness of its predecessor or failing to sufficiently comment on how the superhero genre has changed over the last 15 years, Incredibles 2 is nevertheless a visually stunning, hilarious and wonderfully performed follow-up.

Sure, the big twist is absurdly predictable, but it's hard to care too much when the action sequences are so well-crafted, the dialogue is so witty and the characters are so damn fun to watch.

But please don't make us wait another 15 years for Incredibles 3, yeah?
