Ranking July 2018's Movies From Worst To Best

17. Terminal

RottenTomatoes Score: 21% (4.2/10)

Box Office: The low-budget neo-noir has pulled in a mere $625,000 worldwide, and though VOD numbers will be far higher, it's hard to imagine it ending up profitable.

Verdict: Though stylish to a point and benefiting from a few interesting performances - Margot Robbie's intriguing femme fatale, Simon Pegg's against-type sad sack and Mike Myers' virtually unrecognisable train station attendant - Terminal is ultimately a smug, try-hard attempt at aping the works of Guy Ritchie and Quentin Tarantino.

The pretentious monologues inspire more laughter than contemplation, the big reveal is more of an eye-roller than a jaw-dropper, and it's ultimately a textbook example of style over substance.
