Ranking July 2018's Movies From Worst To Best

16. In Darkness

In Darkness Natalie Dormer
Shear Entertainment

RottenTomatoes Score: 42% (4.9/10)

Box Office: The Natalie Dormer-led thriller has pulled in barely $200,000 theatrically - mostly from Russia - and even a decent VOD performance probably won't push it into the black.

Verdict: While impressively shot and acted with sure commitment by Natalie Dormer - who also co-wrote the movie with her partner and director Anthony Byrne - this Hitchcockian little thriller eventually collapses under the weight of an increasingly convoluted and implausible narrative.

It certainly never drops below being watchable, though interest will likely wane in the risible third act, and honestly, will you remember much of it in a few weeks?
