RottenTomatoes Score: 44% (5.1/10) Box Office: The original Ted made an astonishing $549.4 million against a $51 million budget, so there's no question this one's going to make massive bank too. Even with heavy competition from Jurassic World and Inside Out, Ted 2 is poised to make around $50 million in its first weekend, pretty much on par with the first film. The Verdict: More of the same is 100% the approach in Seth MacFarlane's wildly unnecessary follow-up, and audience enjoyment will largely depend on how much you can stand the writer-director's rather self-indulgent style of comedy. It's never dull and moves fast enough that it doesn't get bogged down by any one scenario for too long, but everyone knew it was probably going to be a lazy sequel driven by box office above all else, and that's exactly what it is. And bet your bottom dollar that Ted 3 will be announced within the next few weeks.
