Box Office: The $90 million crime caper has pulled in around $160 million so far, while opening slightly below expectations and set to gross significantly less than the original's $351.7 million. It's performing well in China among other foreign markets, but its underwhelming performance overall means that a sequel is by no means guaranteed.

Verdict: While there was plenty of praise to go around for new cast members Lizzy Caplan and Daniel Radcliffe (who steal just about every scene they're in), this is basically just more of the same nonsense that anyone who saw the first film should reasonably expect.

In some ways it's an improvement over the original, but on the whole fairly low-effort despite how visually impressive some of the set-pieces are. Fine for a rainy Sunday, sure, but nothing worth writing home about.
