Ranking March 2015’s Movies From Worst To Best

5. Faults

RottenTomatoes Score: 88% (6.9/10 average) Box Office: Neither budgetary info nor a box office total is available (largely because the movie will make most of its money from the day-and-date VOD release), and though it won't many anyone rich, the calling card for director Riley Stearns to graduate to greener pastures will be the win here. The Verdict: Stearns' directorial debut is a thrilling slow burn drama about a woman (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) caught in the thrall of a mysterious cult, and the efforts of a an expert "de-programmer" (Leland Orser) to return her to her parents. Gritty, gripping and crucially laced with welcome dark humour, Faults gradually builds suspense while investing audiences fully in its two central characters, aided by two rock-solid performances, especially from underrated character actor Orser.
