Ranking March 2019's Movies From Worst To Best
2. Foxtrot
Rotten Tomatoes Score: 94% (8.14/10)
Box Office: Landing in U.K. limited release almost 18 months after it had a qualifying Oscar run in U.S. cinemas, this rapturously received Israeli drama has cracked just $1.3 million worldwide. Despite its evidently low budget, that's just not enough.
Verdict: An extremely daring and tonally assured film about a Tel Aviv couple learning that their soldier son has died in the line of duty, Foxtrot is a consistently surprising and charming film which deftly switches-up moods at a moment's notice.
Gorgeously shot and brilliantly acted, writer-director Samuel Maoz (Lebanon) crafts an anti-war drama that manages to stick out in a crowded field, no matter your own political allegiance.
