Ranking May 2016's Movies - From Worst To Best
6. A Bigger Splash
RottenTomatoes Score: 88% (7.2/10)
Box Office: Having pulled in an impressive $4.6 million worldwide so far, it's safe to say that the movie's budget is probably covered, if not much more than that.
Verdict: Luca Guadagnino's long-awaited follow-up to 2009's I Am Love is a sensual, sexy, visually stunning and superbly-acted effort that mines the considerable chemistry of its core quartet, Ralph Fiennes, Tilda Swinton, Matthias Schoenaerts and Dakota Johnson.
Though on the base of it the romantic tension may seem fairly low-effort and trashy, that tension is milked for all it's worth by both director and cast, resulting in something much more complex and considered about human relationships.
Plus, it's worth watching solely to see Fiennes playing such a different role from his usual.
