Box Office: The sports biopic has pulled in just north of $600,000 worldwide, which given the focal subject's far-reaching popularity, makes it a total dud.

Verdict: What should have been a compelling warts-and-all examination of the football legend's youth is instead a tiresomely formulaic biopic that ticks every box along the way, almost none of them interesting.

Sad as it is to say, even the young actors playing Pele aren't particularly good, the visuals are surprisingly terrible despite the exotic setting, and aside from some entertaining footwork, it's pretty useless to all except the most devoted Pele fans, who will eat this up regardless.

It's shockingly boring and not at all what the legend deserves. Avoid.
