RottenTomatoes Score: 95% (8.7/10)

Box Office: Made for just $2 million, the Oscar-buzzed drama has already doubled its budget with an impressive $4.3 million cume to date.

Verdict: Easily one of the best films of the year and one of the most sobering, authentic depictions of poverty ever put to screen, The Florida Project is a masterful triumph from director Sean Baker (Tangerine), boasting some of the strongest child acting you're ever likely to see on-screen.

Willem Dafoe is also astonishing as the kindly-yet-firm motel manager, and will likely earn a Best Supporting Actor nomination for his fantastic work.

By turns tragic, funny and gorgeous, this is a mighty drama that will hopefully scoop its share of awards love come Oscar time.
