Ranking November 2018's Movies From Worst To Best

11. Overlord

Overlord Wyatt Russell
Paramount Pictures

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 81% (6.6/10)

Box Office: The $38 million J.J. Abrams-produced WWII horror has just barely recouped its budget. Again, though, Overlord's very much the sort of small-scale action movie many will wait to watch at home, so it'll probably be fine in the long run.

Verdict: Though the advertised Nazi zombie shenanigans sadly don't arrive until the third act, Overlord is a mostly successful action-horror flick thanks to a skilled cast, Julius Avery's tense direction and a bonkers finale.

It probably would've been more fun if it didn't play itself quite so straight, but Avery mostly gets away with it, even if there's the distinct feeling it's not nearly as entertaining as it could've been.
