Ranking October 2015's Movies From Worst To Best

6. Steve Jobs

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 85% (7.5/10) Box Office: Jobs' wide opening weekend grossed barely more than half of its projection, bringing its current total to $14.5 million, which having cost $30 million, is naturally a massive disappointment. Combine this with the evident awards hype and many were left scratching their heads as to why it bombed, with suggested factors being Fassbender's non-A-list status and the audience perception of Jobs. The Verdict: Nevertheless, from Danny Boyle's uncharacteristic direction to the performances from Fassbender, Seth Rogen and Kate Winslet, and of course, Aaron Sorkin's script, Steve Jobs has been praised as the Oscar contender we were all hoping for. Whether you love or hate the man, there's plenty to feast on here, a well-rounded depiction of the late tech giant abetted by Sorkin's characteristically unflinching approach to his subject. Fassbender may not look much like Jobs, but he does a fine job embodying the man, and will hopefully net himself a Best Actor Oscar nod next year.
