Ranking October 2016's Movies - From Worst To Best
13. The Greasy Strangler
RottenTomatoes Score: 63% (5.5/10)
Box Office: With almost no significant commercial appeal, it's impressive that this low-budget indie has raked in $60,615 at the worldwide box office, and will surely do 99.8% of its total business from home video sales.
Verdict: Unquestionably one of the year's oddest films, this deeply unsettling, darkly comic thriller won't be for all or perhaps indeed many tastes, but for those prepared to subject themselves to an extremely grotesque, grim cast of characters amid an oppressively bleak setting, this low-fi chiller is a breath of fresh air like absolutely nothing else out there.
It's best to go in knowing as little as possible, but rest assured that if the title piques your interest, this film about a greased-up serial killer just might be for you.
