Ranking October 2017's Movies From Worst To Best

10. 1922

1922 Thomas Jane
Netflix

RottenTomatoes Score: 85% (6.6/10)

Box Office: 1922 went straight-to-Netflix.

Verdict: After the release of Gerald's Game last month, 1922 is yet further proof that Netflix is a terrific home for Stephen King's more out-there works.

Thomas Jane gives one of the best performances of his career in this searing, slow-burn period thriller, which is beautifully shot and makes the most of its pervasive psychological tension.

You can argue it goes a stretch too silly in the third act, as so many of King's stories do, but it's nothing if not an impressively faithful adaptation of one of King's lesser stories.
