Ranking October 2017's Movies From Worst To Best

18. Jigsaw

RottenTomatoes Score: 39% (4.7/10)

Box Office: Like the rest of the Saw franchise, Jigsaw was made on a modest budget and practically couldn't fail. The $10 million horror has grossed more than $25 million already and will likely multiply its budget several more times over before it's all said and done.

Not a storming resurgence for the series by any means, but enough to ensure a sequel? Most certainly.

Verdict: A disappointingly by-the-numbers attempt to resurrect the Saw franchise, Jigsaw fails to come up with many compelling new traps, recycles some of the series' previous twists, and concludes on an eye-rollingly uninspired note simply intended to keep the sequels churning out.

On the plus side, at least it's easily the best-looking of all the Saw movies, though that's not exactly saying much.
