RottenTomatoes Score: 69% (5.3/10)

Box Office: The Babysitter was released straight-to-Netflix.

Verdict: A surprisingly not-terrible effort from McG, The Babysitter is a gory, sexy little horror flick that's perfect for Netflix makes solid use of a cast you probably don't know or care much about, and deftly employs pop-culture references without making it feel too forced.

With unexpectedly strong visuals throughout and a firm handle on its tone, it doesn't outstay its welcome, delivering a fleet-footed romp that proves how even seemingly "bad" directors can flourish with Netflix's hands-off approach, free of the usual studio wrangling.
