Ranking October 2018's Movies From Worst To Best

5. Blindspotting

Blindspotting Daveed Diggs
Lionsgate

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 93% (7.9/10)

Box Office: The acclaimed race drama has made almost $4.8 million worldwide, which given its clearly minuscule price tag, is pretty solid business.

Verdict: At once a riveting look at race relations in the U.S. and an hilarious buddy drama, Blindspotting teams Daveed Diggs and Rafael Casal as both co-writers and co-stars as Diggs' convicted felon Collin tries to see out his final days of probation without incident.

If not all of its surreal, over-affected asides hit the mark and the ending requires a certain suspension of disbelief, for the most part this is a sturdy, charming and superbly acted slice-of-life drama with a keen sense of place.

Plus, it features one of the most hysterical flashback sequences of the last few years. Not to be missed.
