10. Goodbye Christopher Robin

Goodbye Christopher Robin Margot Robbie Domhnall Gleeson
Fox

RottenTomatoes Score: 67% (6.3/10)

Box Office: Financial information isn't available yet, though the biographical drama seems likely to pull in a decent haul in the UK, given the nation's love for Winnie the Pooh.

Verdict: Domhnall Gleeson is superb as legendary author A.A. Milne, the cinematography is gorgeous and it certainly hits the right emotional notes, though at the same time, Simon Curtis' film doesn't have a subtle bone in its body, and bashes the viewer over the head with its message and ideas.

Still, it'll likely play well enough with its target demo thanks to the effort everyone's putting in both in front of and behind the camera, even if it could've done with a little more polishing in the scripting stage. What could've been an Oscar-winning drama instead settles for being merely solidly enjoyable.
