Ranking The Best Characters From Snatch - 20 Years Later
12. Tyrone
Who: a getaway driver unlikely to get away from much. Doesn't like dogs (or dags).
What he knows about diamonds: we'd be better off asking what he knows about anything. While effective at spotting suspicious men with four fingers, Tyrone has a lot to learn when it comes to the art of stealthy, quick getaways.
The leather-clad giant is hardly the most inconspicuous of characters, known to all and sundry. Representatives of London's vicious criminal underbelly can spot him a mile away, and easily threaten him into revealing the whereabouts of his two business associates Vinny and Sol. As it turns out, Tyrone is even less fond of dogs snapping ferociously at his ankles than he is of dogs dribbling on his car seats. Not good - especially when he's in the clutches of the most feared dog-owning, pig-feeding gangster in town.
Tyrone has his chance to shine, however, when he successfully identifies and knocks out Franky Four Fingers, allowing the trio their first glimpse of the gigantic diamond that sets this whole plot in motion.
Best quote: when Tyrone accidentally reverses the getaway car into a four-ton truck, he defends himself by insisting he couldn't see it. "It was at a funny angle!".
