What he knows about diamonds: enough to know that they're worth something. Sol and his associate Vinny are hired by Boris the Blade to rob Franky Four Fingers while he's placing a bet at the local bookmakers. They get to keep the cash from the bookies, while Boris gets the case that Franky's carrying (which happens to contain a priceless diamond).

Of course, the plan quickly goes awry as the two find themselves woefully unprepared to rob an establishment owned by nefarious gangsters and even get themselves caught on camera. After they somehow manage to briefly come into possession of the diamond, they waste no time in showing themselves to be out of their league when faced with harder, smarter, and considerably more ruthless criminals.

Though Sol (Lennie James) carries himself as the leader of their partnership, he is only marginally more competent when it comes to criminal activity. The hare-brained get-rich-quick scheme that the two get involved in falls apart almost immediately, and despite Sol's frequent derision of Vinny's lack of smarts, he himself fares little better.
