Ranking: The Biggest Protagonists From 2016's Summer Blockbusters

The Role: The anger-prone bird who ends up sentenced to anger management classes after one of his trantrums causes a bird egg to hatch prematurely.

Angry Birds is by no means a particularly good movie, but it does at least have a firm handle on the source material, and Jason Sudeikis is superbly cast as the snarky, irascible bird who inevitably goes from zero to hero.

Red is really only as interesting as the cast of birds he's surrounded by (especially Peter Dinklage's Mighty Eagle), and his arc throughout the movie is insanely predictable, but he's gorgeously animated (like almost everything else in the film), and gets a steady stream of amusing put-downs throughout.
