Though it's actually tough to figure out who the protagonist of this movie really is, Henry Turner (Brenton Thwaites) seems like the most logical choice considering that the entire story is framed by his journey.

The problem is that Henry is easily the movie's most boring and forgettable major character, and it would've made much more sense for Kaya Scodelario's Carina Smyth to take the definitive lead.

Instead, Will Turner's (Orlando Bloom) son is, funnily enough, just as lacking in charm as his daddy was in the original trilogy, so at least there's some internal consistency there.

Still, there wouldn't be many complaints if Henry was binned off for the next movie, especially if it meant that Carina was free to become the series' feisty new hero.
