Ranking: The Biggest Protagonists From 2017's Summer Blockbusters

13. King Arthur - King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword

And the winner of the summer's "nice try" award is Charlie Hunnam's King Arthur. The film's many, many misgivings aside, Hunnam gives a charming, charismatic performance as the cheeky King-in-waiting, tapping into Ritchie's better instincts even when the script doesn't always give him enough support.

He looks the part, makes for a bada** action hero during the numerous over-the-top action sequences, and rips through Ritchie's signature blokey banter as well as anyone else ever has. What's not to like?

It's a shame the movie bombed, as this could've been a real star-maker for Hunnam, rather than the black mark it's forever destined to be.
