Captain America’s attire in Avengers: Endgame is similar to the one he wore in Captain America: Civil War. There is no visible distinction aside from the hard leather scale mail armor on the chest and shoulders. The addition makes all the difference in the world in giving this one individual character. It is one big attention-grabber guaranteed to draw looks.

This suit is also another step in bringing in the iconic elements of the comics and putting a practical spin on them. Scaled armor was invented for battle, so adding the texture for modern ballistic protection is just evolution. Even without the context of it being a comics reference, it is beautiful to look at as light reflects off of it like glitter.
