Ranking The World's Highest Paid Actresses By Their Debut Film Roles

9. Scarlett Johansson - North (1994)

To quote famous movie critic Roger Ebert, “North is one of the most unpleasant, contrived, artificial, cloying experiences I've had at the movies.” Now not everyone is going to feel this strongly about North, but it really isn’t good, and in the 25+ years since it’s release, it’s aged terribly.

The film stars Elijah Wood straight off the back of proving his massive talent in The Adventures of Huck Finn, but unfortunately bad writing and cheap humour meant that nothing was saving this movie.

Rob Reiner's attempt at a classic children's comedy ends up being extremely cruel humoured as it tells the story of a young boy on the hunt for new parents. There's also the reappearance of Bruce Willis in a multitude of roles from the Easter Bunny to a FedEx driver, it doesn't really make much sense nor is it particularly funny.

Little Scar Jo clocks in with only 40 seconds of screen time looking uncannily the same as she does now, just tinier. At least she had nowhere to go but up from here.
