Ranking The X-Men Movie Villains - From Worst To Best
2. William Stryker
What makes the X-Men such a potent idea is how they hold up a mirror to the persecution minorities suffer in society. As seen in Senator Kelly or Trask, there is always someone who hates mutants with a passion but the one who beats them all is General William Stryker. First featuring in X-Men 2 (still the best instalment of the franchise), Brian Cox gave a great performance as the determined, and quietly deranged, Stryker as he almost tricks Professor X into wiping out mutant kind. Of course, hes also the man responsible for giving Logan his adamantium skeleton, adding a whole other edge to the character (and allowing for him to return in X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Days Of Future Past, in the guise of Danny Huston and Josh Helman respectively).
