Razzies 2017: 8 Winners That Make No Sense

6. Worst Supporting Actor - Jesse Eisenberg (Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice)

Lex Luthor Kryptonite
Warner Bros.

Why It Makes No Sense: Look, there are plenty of valid reasons why a lot of fans didn't like Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor, but at least the guy clearly tried to do something different than the usual A-list ham acting the role invites, and at this point it's just become popular to hate his role because people don't like the movie.

Who Should've "Won": Honestly, nobody in this category is absolutely terrible (Will Ferrell and Owen Wilson for Zoolander, Nicolas Cage for Snowden, Jared Leto for Suicide Squad and Johnny Depp for Alice Through the Looking Glass), but Depp gave the most tediously phoned-in turn of the bunch.

Depp is to an extent disadvantaged by a lot of fans getting tired of his quirky shtick, but he didn't even touch the sides in the second Alice movie, and was frequently upstaged by Sacha Baron Cohen's villainous Time.
