Razzies 2017: 8 Winners That Make No Sense

5. Worst Actress - Rebekah Turner (Hillary's America: The Secret History Of The Democratic Party)

Why It Makes No Sense: Rebekah Turner plays Hillary Clinton in a handful of re-enactment scenes in Dinesh D'Souza's rancid propaganda documentary, but that doesn't automatically mean she gives a Razzie-worthy performance.

The main argument here is that she's barely in the film, appearing for a few minutes at the absolute most and not really qualifying as a lead actress by any tangible measure.

As such it's hard to be too infuriated by her performance, especially as Turner's IMDB profile is pretty barren and it seems excessively mean-spirited (even for the Razzies) to pick on a jobbing actor just trying to make a few bucks.

Who Should've "Won": There are a few simply boring performances here (Julia Roberts in Mother's Day and Shailene Woodley in Allegiant), a few suspect ones (Megan Fox in Turtles 2 and Tyler Perry in Boo! A Madea Halloween), but the real stand-out is Naomi Watts' barrel-scraping work in the widely-panned thriller Shut In.

Watts was also co-nominated for her forgettable supporting performance in Allegiant, so we'll take that in the bargain. But Shut In wins her the award by itself, because it's a horrible movie, she gives a terrible performance in it and as an Oscar-nominated actress she absolutely should know so much better.
