Razzies 2017: 8 Winners That Make No Sense

4. Worst Screenplay - Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice

Why It Makes No Sense: No matter how much you may dislike what David S. Goyer and Chris Terrio did with Batman and Superman, do you honestly think Dirty Grandpa, Gods of Egypt, Hillary's America, Independence Day: Resurgence and Suicide Squad all had better screenplays?

Plus, consider that the movie's Ultimate Edition does fix a lot of the gaping plot holes and logic issues, and it's clear that the problem was more with Warner Bros' scissors-happy executives than the script (not that it was anywhere near perfect).

What Should've "Won": A lot of good-bad contenders here, but the insidious intent of Hillary's America, with its malicious manipulation of facts and repugnant right-wing agenda, has by far the most objectionable content of any of these films. Some of the other scripts got pretty close, but hateful bile rises to the top in the end.
