Razzies 2020: 10 Nominees That Make No Sense

1. Rambo: Last Blood - Worst Picture

And finally, we come to the Big One - Worst Picture itself.

Though it'd be fun to see the Razzies eventually switch to a wider field of nominees like the Oscars, this year's five-film slate nevertheless consists of Cats, The Fanatic, The Haunting of Sharon Tate, A Madea Family Funeral, and Rambo: Last Blood.

Except, in addition to having easily the "best" reviews of the five films - rocking a cool 27% on the Tomatometer - Rambo: Last Blood is more a bland, forgettable sequel than it is a deeply terrible movie in any way.

That the film was nominated for Worst Picture over the likes of Serenity, Black Christmas, Hellboy, Countdown, Men in Black: International, The Silence, Midway, The Hustle, Jexi and so many more is just nonsense.

Still, the Razzies have had an historic hard-on for Sylvester Stallone and his movies, with the actor-filmmaker racking up an absurd 34 nominations over the last 35 years.

With so many genuinely terrible, irredeemably bad movies to choose from, is a "whatever" Rambo sequel really the best the Razzies can do?
