Razzies 2020: 10 Nominees That Make No Sense

10. Godzilla: King Of The Monsters - Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-Off Or Sequel

Now, as disappointingly as Godzilla: King of the Monsters turned out, was it really worthy of a nomination for "Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-Off Or Sequel," alongside Dark Phoenix, Hellboy, A Madea Family Funeral, and Rambo: Last Blood, all of which received significantly worse reviews than it?

King of the Monsters was too aggressively mediocre to deserve a nomination, especially with so many genuinely awful movies releasing over the past year.

Was a cheesy movie about giant monsters fighting one another really worse than, above all else, the ultra-cynical "soft reboot" that was Men in Black: International, and the deeply insulting, painfully pandering new Black Christmas?

That's not to ignore lame offerings like 47 Meters Down: Uncaged, the new Addams Family animated film, or even the flop Charlie's Angels reboot, all of which were more fitting for the fifth slot in this category.
