Razzies 2020: 10 Nominees That Make No Sense

9. Francesca Hayward (Cats) - Worst Actress

It wasn't exactly a surprise to see Cats leading this year's Razzie nominations with an impressive nine nominations, especially considering how much of a viral punching bag Tom Hooper's big-budget misfire has become.

But in typical Razzie form, voters' hatred for the movie as a whole has blinded them to its actual meritorious aspects, and instead they've simply thrown nominations at pretty much anyone involved with the production.

And so, poor Francesca Hayward ended up with a Worst Actress nomination for her performance as protagonist Victoria, despite the fact that she's easily one of the best things about the movie.

It feels like an especially mean-spirited move as this was Hayward's first ever major movie role, and was her work really worse than, say, Elisabeth Moss in The Kitchen?
