Razzies 2020: 10 Nominees That Make No Sense

7. Matthew McConaughey (Serenity) - Worst Actor

This year's Worst Actor slate is full of baffling nominees, honestly: both David Harbour (Hellboy) and Sylvester Stallone (Rambo: Last Blood) were unarguably the best things about their respective films, and their performances did nothing to cause the unsatisfying end result.

But the weirdest nomination has to be for Matthew McConaughey in the admittedly infamous dud Serenity.

Now, nobody's excusing that Serenity is indeed an hilariously bad misfire of a film, but there was absolutely nothing wrong with McConaughey's performance or how he approached the material.

His performance was ultimately more forgettable than anything, but not nearly of the low-caliber necessary to actually merit a nomination in this category.

Do people really think his performance was shoddier than, say, those by Ed Skrein (Midway) or Adam Devine (Jexi) this past year?
