Ready Player One: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best

13. Rick

Ready Player One Rick
Warner Bros.

A relatively minor character in terms of the overall story, but an important figure in understanding Wade's life, Rick is the stereotypical, good-for-nothing a-hole step...uncle.

Ralph Ineson does a good job of selling that aspect of the character, making him particularly loathsome in the few scenes he appears in, although he finds himself low here simply by virtue of not having that much to do in the grand scheme of things.

NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far. A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
