Recasting The Harry Potter Movies If They Came Out Today

12. Nymphadora Tonks – Jodie Comer

Tim Roth Snape
BBC America

Jodie Comer is another actor who’s best known for her work on television. Her portrayal of the assassin Villanelle in BBC’s Killing Eve has been universally praised, and with good reason. Her ability to be playful yet terrifying is incredibly entertaining to watch.

Likewise, Tonks is both fun and somewhat intimidating given she’s a highly-trained Auror (a dark wizard catcher.) And though Comer is several years older than Tonks when she first appears in The Order of the Phoenix, she’s more than capable of capturing such a youthful, bubbly character. (She also has the ability to pull-off various accents, though her natural Scouse accent would actually fit in nicely with Tonks’s personality.)

However, Tonks becomes much more subdued in The Half-Blood Prince, which is something the original adaptations left out. Thankfully, Comer has proved she can tackle more serious characters as well in both Doctor Foster and The White Princess.
