Reign Of The Supermen Review: 6 Ups & 4 Downs

4. The Entertaining Action Sequences

Reign Of The Supermen
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment

This movie is positively loaded with action, and while Sam Liu certainly isn't the most gifted director in the DC animation stable, he nevertheless mostly delivers on the various match-ups between the Supermen.

The set-pieces are fast-paced, dynamic and rife with destruction, and though the constrained budget clearly places a ceiling on their potential - especially in the third act - Liu serves up enough super-powered carnage to satisfy fans of the comics.

There's just enough downtime between fights to let the audience cool off, and before you know it, the various metahumans are at it once again.
