Reservoir Dogs: Every Character & Performance Ranked

6. Joe Cabot - Lawrence Tierney

Reservoir Dogs
Miramax

The most prominent of characters and of performances in terms of appearance thus far, Lawrence Tierney plays Joe Cabot, the boss of the operation. His old and grumbling yet clearly intimidating demeanour makes him a powerful, volatile presence in all of his scenes.

Whether it is demanding Mr. Pink pay his tip, or telling him why he is Mr. Pink or showing that even in his old age that he is still the boss and is still more than capable of pulling the trigger when needed, Joe Cabot is a good and important supporting character throughout the film.

Lawrence Tierney delivers a good performance and particularly good dialogue in the scene where he assigns everyone their codenames and why he chooses the names, not them and in the fantastic opening scene of the film.

Rhys McGinley hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
