Ruben Fleischer's 30 MINUTES OR LESS Gets Cool Red-Band Trailer

As the summer movie season kicks into high gear next week with the release of Thor (in the U.K. at least), it's usually around this time of the year when a trailer for a late summer multi-genre comedy release premieres and takes the attention away from the bigger budget fare to come. In previous years it's been movies like Pineapple Express and Zombieland, and this year it looks to be that latter film's director, Ruben Fleischer and star Jesse Eisenberg, who have stroke gold again. Titled 30 Minutes or Less, the black comedy/actioner finds The Social Network star in a movie for the first time post Oscar nomination as a pizza delivery driver who seeks out his friend, 30 Rock star Aziz Ansari, when wannabe crooks Dwayne (Danny McBride in a role we've seen him take on a thousand times) and Travis (Nick Swardson) force him to rob a bank in mere hours with a bomb strapped to his chest. IGN have premiered the trailer for the movie below and I tell ya folks, this one looks good... More 30 Minutes or Less Videos Zombieland had no problem at all playing the comedy/horror line and on the basis of the trailer alone, I think we can expect much of the same here. I love this guy's direction, Fleischer has a keen eye for the right camera movements to make a scene feel unique and aware. Notice the impeccable opening sequence of Zombieland or here, the slow-mo pull into Danny McBride's line delivery towards the end of this one. Can't wait to see more of Ansari too. 30 Minutes or Less is coming August 12th (U.S.) and 23rd September (U.K.).
