2. Nick Walker - R.I.P.D.
R.I.P.D. is a doomed comic book adaptation - based on Peter M. Lenkov's Rest In Peace Department series - that fails quite spectacularly on all counts. Just getting onto the big screen was a struggle for this feature, with Universal moving the film from a January 2012 release, all the way back to July 2013, as well as Zach Galifianakis dropping out somewhere along the way. All of these hurdles didn't bode well for a film that was unsurprisingly panned by critics worldwide, all of whom were non plussed by the film's ghost cop premise; while Jeff Bridges fared okay as shouty Roy Pulsipher, Reynolds is stuck in glum sidekick territory. Never really getting a chance to show any charm and laden with a predictable backstory this remains one of Reynolds's highest profile box office failures.
